Turns out my image was a Bionic one and I kept upgrading until Focal.. I
have exported and imported from WSL1 a few times. I have no
/etc/wsl.conf :\

Hope that helps =) Feel free to mark this bug incomplete if you think it
was something on my side, was trying to leverage what happened to me

[Bug 1877617] Re: open-iscsi automatic scans disable AND groovy merge with upstream

2020-05-13 Thread Rafael David Tinoco
Yes, I'm working with upstream:

https://salsa.debian.org/linux-blocks-team/open-
iscsi/-/merge_requests/4/commits

I have basically reviewed all previous open-iscsi packages.

Let's see further discussions on how they see that.

For the SRUs (3 of them, in the merge requests). They were accepted by a
peer of mine, so I basically to test if behavior is kept as default for
all 3 of them and then I'll upload the fixes. I'll basically run your
test case on all 3 packages and upload the binaries after I'm done. Will
finish this soon, gave a better attention to upstream so we could bump
the version there.

[Bug 1877726] Re: [HDA-Intel - HD-Audio Generic, playback] USB sound with Rodecaster Pro not working

2020-05-13 Thread nils
It works out-of-the-box on a windows 10 machine (both as input and
output for MS teams, Skype, etc.) on which I have no admin access, so it
seems to work there without extra drivers.

https://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/articles/getting-started-with-the-rodecaster-pro/
claims that it is class compliant on a MAC at least: "Before you can use the
Rodecaster Pro, you first need to download and install the Rodecaster Pro app,
as well as the firmware. The Rodecaster Pro is considered class-compliant on
Mac, which means it doesn’t need third-party audio drivers. PC users will need
to download ASIO4All for proper connectivity. Follow the
steps below to get started."

On a Macbook Pro (15inch, 2011) with High Sierra 10.13.6 (won't run
Mojave) using Garageband it shows up as a RODECaster Pro Stereo, and
works (recording, playback) without a problem. I see two channels
(theoretically I should see 14 in a DAW I think?), but it works.

2020-05-13 Thread Daniel van Vugt
Thanks for the bug report. It appears you have jackd installed, which is
not a normal part of Ubuntu and might steal the sound devices before
pulseaudio starts. Please uninstall jackd, restart, and tell us if the
problem persists.

Also if you have 'timidity' installed please remove that too.

[Bug 1878518] Re: Unable to complete/start an autoinstall using d-i/preseed on Focal 20.04 desktop

2020-05-13 Thread Ubuntu Foundations Team Bug Bot
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a
specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu
in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source
packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs
about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your
bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage.
You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode.

To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1878518/+editstatus and add the
package name in the text box next to the word Package.

[Bug 1878193] Re: Re-logging occurs continuously during ubuntu operation

2020-05-13 Thread Daniel van Vugt
Thanks.

(1) Solved. I can see the Nvidia driver is now loaded.

(2) Please run:

xrandr --verbose > xrandr.txt
lspci -k > lspcik.txt

and attach the resulting text files.

(3) Please also attach the files from /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/

[Bug 1878522] [NEW] [IOMMU] Support User IPI with kernel page table isolation (KPTI)

2020-05-13 Thread quanxian
Public bug reported:

Description:
User IPI architecture depends on memory resident tables for IPI routing. This
routing table, aka User Interrupt Target Table (UITT), are managed by the
kernel. Since this UIPI is bond to user tasks, UITT is also allocated per task
if UIPI connection is set up. The natural location of UITT is in task_struct
where its life cycle are managed according to the task life cycle. This is how
the initial implementation in SKX prototype is done.
However, with the aftermath of Meltdown vulnerability, KPTI is introduced. With
KPTI, most kernel memory (task struct included) are no longer mapped into user
process. We must address that by changing the allocation scheme of UITT.
This is no a unique situation, we can leverage existing infrastructure for LDT
and IDT.

Target Release: 20.10
Target Kernel: TBD

[Bug 1878519] [NEW] Unable to use TLSv1.1 to connect to external servers

2020-05-13 Thread Gordon Lack
Public bug reported:

I'm on 20.04 LTS (Focal Fossa). (Kubuntu)

openssl (I'm on 1.1.1f-1ubuntu2) appears to now be set to use a minimum
of TLSv1.2

This is despite the fact that the Changelog
(https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openssl/+changelog) says:
Revert "Enable system default config to enforce TLS1.2 as a
minimum" & "Increase default security level from 1 to 2".

As a result of this I can't get fetchmail to connect to an external IMPA
server I use, which only uses TLSv1.1

I *can* get:
openssl s_client -state -cipher "DEFAULT:@SECLEVEL=1" -connect ... -starttls
imap
to open a connexion, but I can find no way of getting that option into a
configuration file such that it is used.

Consequently I cannot use a secure connexion to retrieve my emails.

All was fine in 19.10.
