[Bug 1698090] Re: Segmentation fault
I can look at seeing if it can be reproduced with a newer version. 2.4.6 would be easier to test than 2.4.9, since it is in the apt repos for 18.04 and 20.04, but I might be able to compile 2.4.9 as well. As far as reproducing it, I don't have great reproduction steps. [Bug 1853021] Re: ssl-cert generate-default-snakeoil provides no way to override default 10 year expiration or reduce to 825 day expiration
The link at [1] does not talk about self-signed certificates at all, only about DV and OV certificates. I agree that make-ssl-cert should have an option for the life time of the generated certificate, but I don't think that 825 days should be the default for 'generate-default- snakeoil'. If you have an official certificate, you don't have to do anything on the clients to make it trusted, but for a self-signed certificate, you have to distribute the certificate manually. Having to do this every 2.5 years seems excessive. I suspect this is a nasty bug in Snap. roland@roland-amd-desktop:~$ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS Release: 20.04 LibreOffice Writer Version: 7.0.2.2 Build ID: 3a01483fc371ab18cfca4bab0d636937da5eaf70 CPU threads: 6; OS: Linux 5.4; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded + --- + ProblemType: Bug + ApportVersion: 2.20.11-0ubuntu27.12 + Architecture: amd64 + CasperMD5CheckResult: skip + CurrentDesktop: ubuntu:GNOME + DistroRelease: Ubuntu 20.04 + GsettingsChanges: + b'org.gnome.nautilus.window-state' b'sidebar-width' b'182' + b'org.gnome.nautilus.window-state' b'initial-size' b'(757, 500)' + b'org.gnome.nautilus.preferences' b'show-directory-item-counts' b"'always'" + b'org.gnome.nautilus.list-view' b'default-column-order' b"['name', 'size', 'type', 'owner', 'group', 'permissions', 'where', 'date_modified', 'date_modified_with_time', 'date_accessed', 'recency', 'starred', 'detailed_type']" + InstallationDate: Installed on 2020-04-17 (218 days ago) + InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 20.04 LTS "Focal Fossa" - Beta amd64 (20200402) + NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia_modeset nvidia + Package: nautilus 1:3.36.3-0ubuntu1 + PackageArchitecture: amd64 + ProcEnviron: + TERM=xterm-256color + PATH=(custom, no user) + XDG_RUNTIME_DIR= + LANG=en_US.UTF-8 + SHELL=/bin/bash + ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 5.4.0-53.59-generic 5.4.65 + Tags: focal + Uname: Linux 5.4.0-53-generic x86_64 + UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) + UserGroups: adm cdrom dip lpadmin lxd plugdev sambashare sudo + _MarkForUpload: True + usr_lib_nautilus: ** Attachment added: "Dependencies.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1905126/+attachment/5436682/+files/Dependencies.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1905126 Title: libreoffice image insert dialog does not show thumb drives To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1905126/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1855318] Re: autofs tries to find .xdg-volume-info and autorun.inf
Hi, the problem seems to come from gvfs-udisks2-volume-monitor. See upstream: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gvfs/-/issues/287 There the problem is clearly stated : ¨The difference with autofs in comparison with ordinary mounts is that the mount always exists (you can see it in "/etc/mtab"), but do not have to be really mounted. However, gvfs-udisks2-volume-monitor thinks that it is really mounted if the mount exists... Consequently, the following code is called which looks for some files on that mounts (e.g. autorun.inf, .xdg-volume-info), which causes the unwanted automounts for autofs.¨ But no solution for autofs momentarily, the patch proposed caused other issues. ** Bug watch added: gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gvfs/-/issues #287 https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gvfs/-/issues/287 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1855318 Title: autofs tries to find .xdg-volume-info and autorun.inf To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/autofs/+bug/1855318/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1677398] Re: Apparmor prevents using storage pools and hostdev networks
I hit this issue today when trying `terraform-provider-libvirt`. So I spent some time debugging it. Below are my findings. 1. Dir-based pools are affected. I didn't tried with default one as I created custom storage pool in terraform (`/srv/libvirt/images`). Then I was able to catch `/etc/apparmor.d/libvirt/libvirt-*` files and check their contents. There was no `/srv/libvirt/images` path so it's definitely was not added there. 2. Then I found `/**.qcow{,2} r,` in the `/etc/apparmor.d/usr.lib.libvirt.virt-aa-helper` file. So my image should be allowed by this rule. But I was still unable to create VM. I tried to add my path here without any success though. 3. Next thing to try was `/etc/apparmor.d/libvirt/TEMPLATE.qemu`. I added my pool path there ND it works after. So this is what I have in TEMPLATE.qemu file now: ``` # # This profile is for the domain whose UUID matches this file. # #include profile LIBVIRT_TEMPLATE flags=(attach_disconnected) { #include # Allow access to custom storage pool "/srv/libvirt/images/" r, "/srv/libvirt/images/**" rwk, } ``` Now those paths appears in libvirt/libvirt- file and access is finally allowed. Please let me know if there is better way to do this. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1677398 Title: Apparmor prevents using storage pools and hostdev networks To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libvirt/+bug/1677398/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1899145] Re: Getting a repeating, white-noise like "tik tok" from speakers
TL;DR - This bug has been fixed. Detail... As of last Saturday (14th November 2020), this bug no longer happens with both Ubuntu 20.04.1 and 20.10. I also noticed that the sound was very much louder than expected from my system - reducing the volume fixed that OK. Tested sound by playing a music video in YouTube. There is the occasional crackle when booting or changing the volume but that is OK. Ubuntu 20.04.1 Both kernels 5.4.0-53 and 5.4.0-54 were fine. Ubuntu 20.10 Kernel 5.8.0-28, also fine. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1899145 Title: Getting a repeating, white-noise like "tik tok" from speakers To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1899145/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1875252] Re: Ubuntu 20.04 LTS update causing no sound coming from built-in speakers
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1876065 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1876065 The patch did not resolve the issue for me, and the bug is still there. I just upgraded from 18.04 to 20.04 on a Dell Latitude E6230, and there was no sound output, with the sound settings showing only 'Dummy output'. I had to do a fresh reinstall of 18.04 which was extremely time- consuming. The same problem had occurred for me in the summer on a Dell Latitude E7270. I saw then that there were lots of reports of the problem, and it seems inexplicable to me that this has not been fixed.
