Hi,
I have the same problem with the X1400. Since it is only supported by
fglrx driver (at least in fesity), installation falls back to vesa
driver. This driver cannot support my display resolution (1440x900) and
it cannot start.
The solution is, from the command line:
* install the privative
I forgot to say that the same problem occurs in gutsy. I have noticed
that new Xorg ati driver will support X1400 card, but I think that
ubuntu should be prepared to work with unsupported cards, at least with
VESA driver.

Display problems in Feisty (laptop, no screens found) ati x1400
Hi,
I have applied the work around defined in #109 and it partially worked.
Now, Virtualbox and other QT applications (i.e. Skype) look awful, with
pixelated 90's-like fonts.

Hi,
I can confirm that just removing 10-hinting-slight.conf works also for
me, without affecting Qt application.
Thanks!

something similar happened to me. The problem in my case was that I had
KMS disabled (in previous versions it made my graphics to work worse, so
I disabled it). After enable KMS and restart computer, Unity started to

Hope this helps you.

Well, I did it :). What makes you think I did not?
You also might want to restart the browser after an upgrade.

Ups :). Maybe there were another instance of firefox running in a
different virtual desktop. Thanks for the tip then. I will be more
careful next time.
Best regards
The fact that at the time you reported the bug, the instance of firefox
you had running was still the pre-upgrade version:
I changed the value of the key toolkit.network.manager.disable to false, but
offline status is still not synchronized with NM.
Are you using Ubuntu Maverick or any other Ubuntu version?

Hi Roman,
you are right. Thanks to point out the problem. The new transmission.js

Hi Martin,
I have tested the new upgrade and it does solve the problem.
Additionally, it can be hot-upgraded, that is, upgraded when
transmission is still running without any problem.
Thanks,

it does not work. It's weird, as even if I extend the patch and comment

I made sure I killed thunar before. A was not printed anyhow.
