Well, not sure if Xorg or not, but after i did an update (using security
updates and recommended ones) the system would not boot into using the
2.6.38-11-generic linux kernel. I did a disk check and all was fine (from the
recovery tool in grub). After the disk check
Restart X gave me a desktop with no effects + gnome 2.

I have to alt+tab x2 to get it to repaint itself. Not sure if this is

it's probably a timing problem - if the computer shuts down before fglrx

I did an upgrade to today on my Advent 4211 (MSI Wind) that has the
realtek card and network manager dropped connection frequently, though
output suggested it was connected. it was not possible to load sites.
WICD also could not load sites. However an uninstall of network manager
and reboot
Session saving is a must have feature! I really missing it after
switching from KDE to Gnome/Unity, KDE was and still is really good in
session management and it would be great to see such session management
in Gnome

Hm... could be overheating too, now that I think about it more; it seems
to occur more often after running for a longer period of time. I'll try
shutting down with the case open, but I doubt it will help (no graphical

More, it's a beauty to use. No reason to clutter Application lense with

I too have lost the Ubuntu One synch option in Tomboy Notes on 11.10.
The bug appeared shortly after upgrade to 11.10. In another instalation
of 11.04 that I have not upgraded to 11.10 the Ubuntu One synch option
remains.

I just sudo dpkg-reconfigure tomboy and it improves things a bit in that
i was able to connect to the Server. But Tomboy crashes at the start of
synchronisation. Synchronisation is totally borked in 11.10 for Tomboy

Bugs,
11.10 I can not get Tomboy to connect the ubuntu One server without
crashing. Therefore it does not synch. Might be a different bug, not
sure, but certainly in 11.10 something horrid has happened to synching,
the ubuntu One option has been removed, if I try to use the Ubuntu One
option in the
maximize button disabled, not removed.
the idea is to offer only fullscreen dash up to 10 screens, because smaller it
simply makes no sense and looks odd.

If I start pdfshuffler over the nautilus open with dialog pdfshuffler
gets no launcher icon but a question mark instead. If I start it via the
terminal it gets its icon.
