I installed Lucid on my IBM T41 laptop with a Radeon RV250 chipset.
After resuming from a suspend, I only see the mouse cursor on a black
background. Switching VTs and coming back to X doesn't change anything.

I have 3 LVs on the new disk - Home, Private and Shared.
I found that all the LVs in /dev/mapper are owned by root:root except for

The regulators are basically power supplies. The regulator framework
abstracts away the control the these power supplies. It allows us to
switch off power supplies when a particular device is not in use (to
save power).

It disables OTG as recommended by Dinh. It also switches to the
RTC_MC13892 driver for RTC. So lookout for your date/time settings on
pulling power.

I wonder why you (FSL) have H1, H2 and OTG turned ON in your
imx51*_defconfg in arch/arm/configs/. That was used as the basis for the
Ubuntu configs.

I'm not sure why this bug is marked down as low in importance. I've had
2/2 machines have the same problem. It causes complete disruption of the
desktop. The gnome-panel doesn't show up anymore and sometimes the
terminals that are saved in my session don't have focus. So it is hard
to type commands

I might've made a mistake in the RTC configuration. Brad, could you try
enabling CONFIG_RTC_MC13892=y ( from Jaunty) and disabling
CONFIG_RTC_DRV_MXC_V2=y.
