Christopher, before I take this effort I have two questions: 1) Are you sure this is a regression in the kernel itself? [Bug 969940] [NEW] When going into standby, DP monitor emits horrible noises via attached speakers
Public bug reported: I am using a Thinkpad T410s with a Dell 2711 connected via DisplayPort. Attached to the monitor, there is my speakers that I can use to listen to music that is transmitted via DisplayPort (or HDMI). Starting with Ubuntu 12.04, Ubuntu can transmit audio via DP. However, when going into standby - either via inactivity timeout or via closing the lid - I hear horrible sound garbage. @Bilal: I'm always up-to-date with Oneric released updates (not necessarly with _proposed_ updates) Eclipse itself is _not_ from the Ubuntu repo, but downloaded and updated via the Eclipse update mechanism. Installed version: Indigo Service Release 1, Build id: 20110916-0149 @Omer: It's probably multimonitor related. I can't remember this problem to appear when working only on a single monitor, however this is quite rare and the bug also does not appear all the time, so its quite possible that I just missed the occasion. ** Changed in: unity Status: Incomplete = New ** Changed in: unity (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/899874 Title: Windows not appearing or invisible To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/899874/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 899874] Re: Windows not appearing or invisible
As you can see in the video, I am clicking the Eclipse launcher icon, Eclipse opens the splash but then does *not* open its main windows. Still, the small arrow is visible aside the launcher icon. [Bug 899874] [NEW] Windows not appearing or invisible
Public bug reported: Unity tends to not open windows properly. For example, Eclipse. It loads (Splash appears), but when Unity says its loaded its main window does not appear. [Bug 644763] [NEW] Ambiance and Radiance mix pointed and rounded corners
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: light-themes Either you use just rouned corners. Or you use just pointed corners. If you mix, it looks very ugly. We've gone through this several years ago (should I look up the Launchpad report?) (Besides, the pointed corners lead to unusable small drag areas for resizing windows.)
