Problems on a EG45M-DS2H motherboard with ICH10 with Ubuntu 8.10 with
the updates. On the analog jacks sound is working but with interrupts

Compiling the i8042 driver as a module solves the problem on my laptop
(HP NX7400 - ey508es). There's another problem right now. The screen

With kernel 3.3 rc6, the Fn brightness keys work perfectly. Only 2 side
effects:
1. The on-screen notification for brightness change isn't shown when
cycling through with the buttons (it only shows the first time you
change brightness; after that, no GUI)

12.04 beta 2. I have a track playing from a CD (.wav file). If I hit
Pause, then Play, it doesn't work. Not even if I change the track. It
just starts spinning the CD in the CD-ROM drive for a couple of seconds,
without any luck.

Ejecting the CD and putting it back
Started process, opened a track, waited about 5 seconds, pressed Pause.
Waited another 2-3 seconds, pressed Play. Again pressed Pause (even
though the button was stuck on Play), exited the process.

I have no sound on my Acer 7736Z, I added those 2 lines in alsa-base.conf,
installed the deb file, rebooted many times, but no sound.
I attached my alsa info file. I think the soundcard(s) is not detected.
