The problem is NOT with stty. The problem is, the apache2 init script was
calling stty with the 'sane' option, which, according to the manpage, is
equivalent to:

It's a pure Catalyst problem. The FGLRX driver powers the X server,
which powers Unity. Unity doesn't have to deal with those internals of
the system, it just draws a shell and updates it as needed (i.e. when a
new monitor is added or removed), but it doesn't have anything to do
with the monitor

I get a complete visual indication, with an overlay of the desktop wall

I can reproduce this here, on a Synaptics MT touchpad. It supported 3
finger tap to move windows up till now.
One probable reason for the change could be that 3 finger tap will now
be reassigned to open the HUD (already mentioned in design spec)

Okay, so a closer examination of the stacktrace reveals that it IS the

Unity crashes after
Does running unity --reset-icons fix the issue? Probably the dconf
launcher icons list is corrupted or something. Or maybe bamf doesn't
match the window to the right desktop file.
Another possibility could be that Terminator ships multiple desktop
files and BAMF matches windows to a random one of

This is an intended design decision. The BFB button is a whole piece.
Unlike the other icons, it's not a border+background+icon amalgamation.
Having the background of the BFB change too upon setting the icon
backlight on/off would make it look way uglier.
