From my quick test on 14.04 it is partially fixed. When using the drive
physical button the disc files are no longer shown in Nautilus however a
'CD/DVD Drive' is listed in the sidebar and also an icon is still
present in Launcher. These are not present if using the software eject
button.

I have identified the commit specific to Dell laptops that broke this
and quite coincidentally this same commit was just reverted on the next
branch only a few days ago. It's not all good however as the companion
commits replace a laptop blacklist with a whitelist meaning it currently
only works

Re-testing on 13.10 initially I found that nothing changed however I
revisited this bug and followed the suggestion in #22.
Using dconf-editor I checked org.gnome.gnome-settings-

This keeps happening for me too (12.04), noticed it first after a
Firefox update to version 19 or 20. Restarting Firefox resolves it for a

From my position the logic behind the changes just don't make sense and

Reviewing this I can only conclude that there is not an issue with
Deluge but with start-stop-daemon failing to start because the location
that you are using to store the config and log files is not available.
It suggests that the mount point is not available at the point that
deluge init script

The process clearly is not working when distribute has a patch applied
in the first instance which turns out was bad and then the fix to
correct that patch requires verification but 9 months later seemingly
no-one other than myself can do that.
I also was honest about being unable to test on

I have 12.04 and gir1.2-appindicator3-0.1 is installed instead however
it is not a package marked as a dependency for Deluge installation so I
doubt this is a Deluge packaging issue.

deluge doesn't handle magnet urls by default

I do not think this is an issue with Deluge. What browser are you using?
If it is Firefox you would need to goto Preferences | Applications |
magnet and 'choose other' and select /usr/bin/deluge as the option.
I did test this in 12.10 and although Deluge did not appear in the
inital list, using
I was thinking it would be helpful if you could include the output from
the following commands (some files may not exist):
cat /usr/share/applications/mimeapps.list | grep magnet
cat /usr/share/applications/mimeinfo.cache | grep magnet
cat /usr/share/applications/defaults.list | grep magnet

There is a fix applied to the RC 0.16 branch of libtorrent and from my
limited testing of it, it fixes the issue.

This is a problem with libtorrent 0.16 and needs reporting upstream:
