I'm marking this as invalid in pm-utils since there really isn't much

For those interested, I've made some changes to the existing

Unlock screen not shown when resuming from standby or hibernation
https://bugs.launchpad.
Shifting to linux. If it has actually powered down after hibernation has
been triggered, then pm-utils has done its job. It might be initramfs-
tools' fault though. Perhaps the resume partition is not set properly?
Please also upload your /etc/fstab (at least the swap entry) and the
/etc/initramfs
Is there anything that should be done in this package to prevent this
from happening?

[lucid regression] strange resume from suspend to RAM

This actually appears to be two separate bugs file as one bug report.
Could you separate out the battery issue into a new bug report, please?
File it under the "gnome-power-manager" package. The rest of it is
probably an nvidia issue.
** Package changed: pm-utils (Ubuntu) => nvidia-graphics-driver
Setting to linux -- it sounds like there's improper support for the hardware's
backlight controls. Could you provide the brand and model of the machine, and
possibly the outputs of the following (attached as separate files):

hibernate. If you have, then you should amend the RESUME= variable to your new
swap, as in the first column of your swap line in /etc/fstab.

Reassign to nvidia-graphics-drivers, since that's probably the cause of
