Ah, you forgot to install openssl development packages. The easiest for you is
to do:
$ sudo apt-get build-dep claws-mail
That'll grab all needed packages to various optional dependancies of Claws;
and then rebuild the snapshot, including the ./configure step.

It contains fixes since 3.3.1cvs48 (which is where we were for bug 208230)

Here's a more in-depth explanation of the fixed bugs:
- bug 1553: Select an email, choose Message/Mark/Lock - it should prevent
deleting of this mail. Now select three emails including the locked one and
choose Message/Move to trash. The locked email is deleted although it shouldn't.
- bug 1589:
These don't need to be applied to the Intrepid packages, as upstream
will release 3.5.0 next week and it'll be in time to sync it to Debian
then Ubuntu.

I think Claws is displaying the same data for both, because they have

Hammer89, the correct solution would have been to upgrade Claws Mail
using our Intrepid PPA (deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/claws-mail/ubuntu
intrepid main), or to rebuild it if you use tarballs.

I don't know, maybe you face another bug. I would need a gdb backtrace
to know what your crash is with Raleigh. You need to install the
libgtk2.0-0-dbg package, then run the following :
$ gdb claws-mail
(gdb) break gdk_x_error
(gdb) run --sync
[...] make it crash
(gdb) backtrace full
This may be, according to the gdb backtrace, a theme problem. Can you
try with other themes that don't use the Oxygen engine ?
