[Bug 985966] Re: Drop-Down-Selection Propagates Wrong History to Clipboard

2013-04-02 Thread Cristian Henzel
Debian is still frozen, so I can't upload it to unstable there. And
since ubuntu takes its packages from Debian's unstable repository, it
can't get the new version. So no.

2012-04-20 Thread Cristian Henzel
The latest version is available here
https://github.com/shantzu/ClipIt/downloads or here
http://sourceforge.net/projects/gtkclipit/files/Version%201/ but you
need to compile it yourself, because it's not yet available as a deb
package. The 1.4.2 version won't make it to 12.04 anymore, since the
freeze is already in place.

2011-05-22 Thread Cristian Henzel
ok, so this unfortunately isn't an easy fix until the indicator supports
getting the current visible status of the menu. You have two options,
either leave 'save history' to 'on' and it should work fine, or use the
other menu (the one that is launched with the hotkey).

[Bug 786453] Re: trash in list

2011-05-22 Thread Cristian Henzel
When the Use Primary option is enabled, every text portion that is
being selected, is being introduced into the history. That means that
even if you select a white space, or a single letter, it will get put in
the history. If you do not want this behaviour and only want items
specifically copied (with ctrl+c, etc) in the history, you should turn
off Use Primary.

I am not sure I understand what you mean. If you copy an item, doesn't it
appear in the menu until you open the History manager dialog?
Also, could you please run clipit from a terminal and paste the output if there
is any?

Also, I guess you have the 'save history' option set to 'off'. In this
case, the menu won't update properly, since I had to implement an ugly
workaround in the save history function to update the menu, since the
appindicator doesn't support getting the visible status of the menu. You
would have to have history saving activated for the menu to refresh
properly.

I have attached the output of $ G_DEBUG=fatal_criticals gdb -ex run -ex

I have run it under maverick, because I don't have a natty machine with
a different DE handy, but the problem is most probably the same.

I have also run the command in natty, using awn with the 'old' notification

I have tried to install the debug symbols to get a more useful output, but I

[Bug 724188] Re: clipit crashes after selecting a particular string, when history saving is active

2011-04-20 Thread Cristian Henzel
Hello,

the bug should be fixed for both maverick and lucid in the latest release
available in my ppa (I'm guessing you're using ppa:shantzu/clipit). Anyway,
since clipit is not officially supported in lucid nor maverick, you should've
filed this bug against the ppa, and not against ubuntu.

Thank you!

[Bug 702316] Re: complete freeze x

2011-01-16 Thread Cristian Henzel
Hello,

there is a problem with the AppIndicator. It seems that although ClipIt
has support for AppIndicator, the Appindicator applies the fallback
making it run with the systray icon. This is a double fault in the
Appindicator (firstly because it doesn't let the program run with the
indicator, but applies the fallback and secondly because that fallback
seems to be buggy, making the prgram freeze X). I will supply another
package in my PPA that will use the normal systray icon, and that will
probably work fine in this use-case. Thanks for your report!
