I hat the Problem in Alpha 6 only with a damaged CD image. Burning the
image on a new DVD-RW solved the problem. So I suppose it is not
(anymore) a bug, and we can mark this as solved or invalid or whatever.

Sorry, I forgot to say: I have a dual boot system with Debian Lenny and
Ubuntu Jaunty. With Lenny the suspend/resume works out of the box.
So it should not be impossible to resolve this problem.

my whole system was encrypted, but the home directiory was encrypted
twice. I think I pressed once the wrong button during Installation.
