When assistive technologies are enabled, the zoom in and zoom out
buttons in page preview are disabled (greyed out). To re-enable them,
all you have to do is disable assistive technologies (System,
Preference, Assistive Technologies).
The
PolicyKit is not deprecated, it's only been updated to the latest
version. Unfortunately, the Authorizations tool hasn't kept up with
PolicyKit's updates and is almost useless in Ubuntu Lucid. You can
configure permissions manually, see the manual for pklocalauthority.

properties) do not match the user's settings: the window controls are
not in their correct positions. In other words, in Lucid, the maximise,
minimise and close

I found the source of the error: for some reason, Ubuntu main updates had been
disabled. Once I enabled them again, Computer Janitor launched without any

If I choose Install Ubuntu from the Live CD's bootup menu, I get the
installer and just the installer. So far so good. But if I choose to
quit this installer, I am left with the default wallpaper and a mouse
cursor, and nothing happens.

Thanks Thomas, I hadn't noticed this problem. Actually that's not true, I had
noticed it but I was too quick to assume it wasn't the script's fault, but the
fault of the files I put in /etc/skel
Fix commited in revision 26.
Just out of curiousity, which forum are you referring to?
