I found the source of the error: for some reason, Ubuntu main updates had been
disabled. Once I enabled them again, Computer Janitor launched without any
problems. I'm marking this bug as invalid because it was my mistake.
If anyone else is experiencing this problem, please attach a copy of
/etc/apt/sources.list and re-open the bug.
