I have the same issue on my two machines: a custom AMD 2.8 GHz desktop
box with an ATI radeon rv 100 card and a Dell D610 laptop with an intel
i915 video chip.
These two machines run edgy and this issue appears with edgy.

Probably, yes. Rotation is not a feature that important, and it's better
to disable it instead of letting users crash their machine when they try
this setting (even if a reboot give a working machine now).

It looks like an internationalisation error. I've moved the iso file out
of the Téléchargements directory to home, and it worked.
(really, in 2009, a failure on accented directory names ? :) )

He's not the only one. I alos have this issue. Please see the attached
screenshot. That's what I got on first login.
If I log out and log in, all the applets are correctly loaded.
All I can say is, on my machine, the log in sequence is quite long,
especially after a reboot. So may be some too

As an additional not, the first log in has always been long for me. This
issue only appeared after my upgrade to Karmic.

epiphany doesn't use the busy cursor when loading a new page

If I click on a link in a webpage, the cursor shape is not changed to
the busy one while epihany loads the new page. It only animates the
throbber.
