You might try to disable the force window to the top option. Onboard
might then be aware that it does not fit on the screen and resize
itself. Then resize it manually to your desired size and wait a bit for
Onboard to store

An alternative might be to consider the unlock screen as the exception
instead of the display manager. Thus, Onboard would only check for a
running instance when it gets started under the unlock screen. Is there
a way for Onboard to check whether it has been started for the unlock
screen?

Enabling Onboard in the Universal Access panel also starts at-spi2.
However, Onboard does not require at-spi2, unless its the auto-show
feature is used. So let's assume now that a user does not want to use
at-spi2 and therefore starts Onboard manually. Checking for the on-
screen keyboard setting
This is because the package shipped in the repos simply offers the
standard package without adding the system defaults file. Submitting a
patched version with the system defaults file is on my todo list.

is chosen so that 0.97.0-0ubuntu1 superseeds 0.97.0~preview...
Moreover, as David is interested into Onboard 0.97.0 for oneiric, I am
considering putting revision 756 of trunk into the Snapshots PPA for oneiric.
Version 0.97.0 with the additional language bugfix (revision 756 of
trunk) is now in the Snapshots PPA for oneiric. It should be available

it in the meantime). But after the update of unity-greeter to 0.2.0
today, the issue is back.
I now reenabled auto-login to work around the issue. I am running the

Marmuta implemented a feature to make Onboard ignore little movements
done on its borders or on the move key on the layout. By default, it
ignores movements of the size determined by the system 'drag treshold'
setting, which is quite limited.

and that I have enabled the hover click by the hover buttons provided by
the onscreen keyboard.

to hot. A proper flow of air was impeded because the holes of the tower
were not completely free.
