Printout alignment issues with Brother printers
I've got the same problem with my DCP-120C and the Hardy Brother Drivers.
Before updating I were using the original Brother drivers without this problem
and also on my laptop I didn't have this problem in an earlier state of the
Hardy driver.
Editing /usr/Brother/inf/brDCP110Cr solved this

As Adna rim said the status for alsa-driver was set to Fix Released. I
don't think that's correct because it's assigned to nobody and importance is
also unset.

Trying sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg the touchpad is detected as
a Synpatics, too. But the XServer doesn't, the error is still the same

As I've recognized, tapping with two fingers in interpreted as middle

Yesterday I've updated the drivers with the packages from PPA and then
tried to get a Brother FAX-1940CN working (*-extra-Packages). As my DCP-
120C this was no problem and it seems as if it's safe use them both on
one system.

Removing brother-lpr-drivers-common following error occured:

Great - the package worked with my DCP-120C.
I've installed the packages, connected my printer, it was recognized and
configured by the assistant and the only thing I had to do was to change the
paper format (but of course this is something country-specific).

As I've seen disabiling lecacy fullscreen support still isn't an ideal
solution. Open Office still is loaded taking the space of the full
screen height and width but at least it doesn't cover the panel and has
window-decorations.

I would say this is a problem with the hinting settings.
Make sure you're using high quality (TTF) fonts, for example Bitstream, DejaVu
or Microsoft fonts (msttcorefonts-package).
In some cases it's better to choose Autohinter instead of native, you have
to experiment a bit if you're not
I've got an ASUS A6Km Notebook and I've got the same problems as Nicolò
Chieffo. Maybe there would be a way to include this patch and activate
it only by a special boot option? Because the High Precision Event Timer
seems to show a noticeable effect on some systems if it's aktivated.

it's the same problem. OOo says, that saving subdocument content.xml has
failed. I didn't have this problem directly after adding the picture (I've

I'm very ashamed, but I've found a solution for the first half of the
