2021-08-19 Thread Gabriel Zhi Chen
@Jerry-lee-tpe,

Following your steps:

Hirsute is installed on L460 , the kernel is replaced with Focal's
kernel (5.8.0-63-generic)

(1) is passed.

The initial kernel of Hirsute is 5.11.0-16-generic, the issue
reproduces;

Upgrade kernel to 5.11.0-31-generic, the issue reproduces.

[Bug 1845595] Re: System got hang after login

2019-09-27 Thread Gabriel Zhi Chen
@Hui Wang Sorry, my execute steps are wrong. system was uploading all
system logs to launchpad, I guess it is finished, but as matter of fact,
it was still running.

Let me upload all collection log now, this time the system is pure
without any nv driver. Note, because system 100 hang after login, I have
to add 'nomodeset' parameter in grub so that I could collect all logs.

** Description changed:

  [Summary]
  System got hang after login

  [Steps to reproduce]
  1. Install the latest eoan image on Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme
  2. Reboot system
  3. When login interface displaying, fill Username and Password, then press
'Enter'
  4. Verify the result
  5. After logging in to the system, perform various daily operations
  6. Verify the result

  [Expected result]
There is no hang issue occured on Ubuntu

  [Actual result]
Sometimes system got hang. Once the issue occurred, the only way is that cold
boot system.

  [Failure rate]
When enternet unplug, installation completed, the issue 100% reproduce.
I have to add 'nomodeset' parameter in grub so that I could collect all logs.

2019-04-17 Thread Gabriel Zhi Chen
Retest the issue on Yoda2-2, image : Disco-Daily-20190416, it can not

The test.wav file can record and play normally.

When executing commands arecord and aplay, there is no error info
feedback also.
