I modified the xorg.conf to specify 128mb. In addition, I dropped the
bit depth to 16. After logging in, every was OK as long as I didn't do
anything. As soon as I tried to open any windows, I again got garbage.

I tried creating a new users, enabled effects and it does work correctly. Next
I removed all my current compiz settings(leftover from Feisty) from the user
account that exibits the problem and compiz switches workspaces correctly. It
no longer spins the cube, but slides left and right as
I just verified that I have the same issue on a single monitor
system(still nvidia no twinview).

I've noticed med-hi fans speeds on my Dell desktop with recent Feisty
released. The fan sounds as if I've been working the CPU hard playing a
game, but I haven't and no process is showing to be pegging the CPU.
