Come on guys, this bug was reported almost 6 months ago and there is
still no fix for that. Could you focus on it or at least provide a
temporary solution. #5 doesn't work for me as well. I have here a Sony
MDR-ZX750BN with Ubuntu 16.04 xenial presenting the same problem, it
connects but no audio

I had the rt3090sta package installed, then i removed it and followed

It seems that the new version of rt3090 driver does not work on ubuntu
11.10, then just installed the driver 2.3 which is indicated in the link
above.

Guys, the problem was solved in 11.04 just blacklisting conflicted
modules, even in 11.10 it worked, but now, for some obscure reason it
stopped. I have the same notebook, and exactly the same problem.
