most people use anyway. linux-purge might still have some use e.g. if
for some reason /boot becomes full, or there are non-autoremovable

I used "dkms status" to get the required information about the module
name (nvidia-340) and version (340.104)
After rebuilding and rebooting at least HDMI works with
4.4.0-116-generic

recognized and work fine.
