[Bug 1587997] Re: Screen flashes when opening other windows.

2016-06-04 Thread Jeff.m
I have noticed this only happens after running a full screen application
like a game. For example I run a game like Dying Light or Left 4 Dead 2
in steam and after I close out of the game, that is when I get the
flashing. After a reboot everything is fine until I run another full
screen application. I should note when I say full screen it isn't a
window that is maximized.

The package I believe is plasmashell that this bug should be associated
with but I can't pick it from the drop downs.

[Bug 1587997] Re: Screen flashes when opening other windows.

2016-06-16 Thread Jeff.m
I have found that if I turn off the composter the flashing will go away.
So it is somewhere in the composter code. Using the alt-shift-F12 keys I
can toggle the flashing. It comes back as soon as I turn the composter
back on.

2018-03-19 Thread Jeff.m
I used a blank drive and installed 17.10 I then did all updates with no
other PPAs enabled besides the default Kubuntu ones. The driver
manager did ask if I wanted to use a propitiatory Nvidia driver and I
said yes and let it install the default Nvidia driver. I installed
nothing else. I then did the upgrade.

[Bug 1573345] Re: Dual monitor loses settings after screen sleep

2018-12-05 Thread Jeff.m
I have this problem. Everything works great with my two monitor setup
until my screen blanker comes on. After I wake the system (which my
secondary monitor seems to wake up a couple of seconds faster) when I
click the application launcher, the screen opens up on my secondary
monitor. All windows I open show up on the secondary monitor. If I log
out and in that will fix the issue and things will open on the correct
monitor.
