Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: kubuntu-desktop
I don't know what the (K)ubuntu team constantly does wrong in not even being
able to ship upstream translations of KDE apps, but it has to stop.
As long as (K)ubuntu continues to treat its international KDE users like sh*t,

I hope it's not too late for it to be included in 9.04:

Disable Plasam notifications for jobs
I don't understand why Canonical claims that a fix has been released. I just
compared KDE 4.2 on openSUSE to KDE 4.2 on Kubuntu:

Maybe it's a problem in distributing the packages onto the update mirror

Why should anybody translate that thing in Launchpad? You don't commit
any translations upstream. You never have.

even a full reboot is required (depending if the langpacks are kept in
memory after plain logout or not).

I'm sorry, but what is that argument? You guys will replace the entire KDE
notification system with your self-made one in 9.10. So you accept that users
may lose their data because Aaron Seigo says so? Newsflash: He also argued
against your custom notification system. Does it mean that you're
I'm not sure what you guys did, but you actually managed to make the
translations even worse in 9.04.
Compare 9.04 to my older 8.10+KDE4.2 screenshot:

Even though I'm not involved with that packaging project, my gut feeling
is that Debian would appreciate helping hands:

https://salsa.debian.org/debian/maliit-keyboard
The new packages would then trickle down to Ubuntu.
