Just unboxed a Dell SX2210T plugged it into a fresh install of Ubuntu Karmic
9.10 installed evtouch, touchscreen does not respond at all.
Calibration program asks to report bug.

I have this bug as well in Jaunty 9.04
The client will play the startup sound on it's own speakers and sound card and
the rest it all plays on the server.
It also locks the server sound card so that the user on the server machine

On a fresh install Karmic 64-bit this still occurs. Removing the lines
in comment #10 made the system unbootable:

Ubuntu is a different operating system. It's okay for users to learn new

people are using Amarok 1.4 from PPA because Amarok 2 is so terrible.

My second monitor showed a big white and blue stripe down the middle and
after a reboot a dithered screen with every other scan line blacked out.
The shocker of this incident is Wont Fix!!! Unbelievably unprofessional.
The screen is the most important as it's your interface with the
computer.

Warning the DisplayLink driver is dependent on reading the EDID
(Extended display identification data) from the Monitor. If the monitor
does not supply this, then (as in my case) everything you try will fail.

I ran a CLAMAV scan and it marked the FGLRX.ko file as a virus and put it in
the quarantine. The mouse hung, and had to kill compiz from the terminal

(Displaylink) USB Monitor because I saw someone else in the community got it
working. The Liliput also showed a green screen when plugged in, instead of

I was able to add Facebook to gwibber on my laptop which is a fresh
install of Lucid. But on my upgraded PC at home the Add button does not

When making 8 or 9 partitions on the drive this is a major irritation. Every
dialog needs to be resizeable everywhere always. It needs to be the users
choice, as screen resolution and size varies largely across platforms.
Scrolling is always bad UI.

After installing any of the Shiki-colors-* packages the gnome-panel
notification area behaves erratically.
Here are the steps to reproduce the bug:
1) fresh install of ubuntu
2) install Amarok
3) install shiki-dust-theme
4) Change the theme to shiki-dust
5) use the theme

So then the setting in nm-manager is very unclear. Why does it have the
option to modify the MAC address if it's not possible to actually do so?
I found a workaround using mac-changer
I needed this because I am a network specialist, and needed this for my
work.

Took a while but I think I have a solution.
If it's to lock the device to a particular device. This means that the
system already 'knows' what the valid choices are for the MAC address.
The best way to display this would be with a drop down list of the valid
choices. So the end user

I did narrow it down to XLS files that exhibit the bad behavior.

I upgraded to Natty Narhwahl Alpha. But this release is so broken that it
cannot display the Ambiance Theme at all. Just after logging in, it shows the
Ambiance theme for about 10 seconds then it defaults back to the default GTK2.0
