I am changing the affected package from apt to language-support-writing-en.
I think the problem is the dependency on openoffice.org-hyphenation-en-us that
is the problem. I think it should depend on openoffice.org-hyphenation-en-us or
openoffice.org-hyphenation.

I only get one entry when switching windows with alt+tab, but when it is

I can confirm that I have the same problem. The only difference is that
I can use the middle mouse button to paste into thunderbird, but I
cannot use paste using Ctrl-V or from the Edit menu. What I copy from
Konqueror can be pasted into other applications.
