Could reproduce on kde 3.5.2:
1. Started composition of message in English.
2. Switched to German (Austria) - worked fine
3. Switched to German (Common) - SIGSEGV

Same problem on my machine. At the 1st login I can't write in the input

I don't know your specific laptop, but with a Amilo Pro V3205 to bypass this
bug, is enough switching off - on the bluetooth button (Fn- Esc).
If I don't perform this necessary operation during the boot, I'll have
bluetooth interface unrecognized.

The solution is simple (and it works with ALL distros).
If you have compiz enabled (aka desktop effects), launch gconf-editor - apps
- compiz - screen0 - options - set hsize from 2 to 4. That's all! No reboot
is necessary.

You can change compiz's workspace with a rotation of mouse-wheel action

the gutsy version of fuseiso is VERY old and is full of bugs.
please update to new version like the one from debian packages.
for example the current version of gutsy gives a lot of problems to
AcetoneISO2 while the new one just works perfectly.
I've contacted the package mantainer of fuseiso so he can update it for gutsy.
This is very important because the current version is very old and has a lot of
bugs and doesn't make AcetoneISO2 work.
When packaging AcetoneISO2 please be sure to package version 1.0.1 since it
gets 100% compatible
install. It's an upgrade from feisty.

Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex
When I press Fn/F7 or Fn/F8 I get the brightness icon on the screen that
indicates how the brightness goes up or down but, actually, nothing happen to
LCD brightness. The same is for gnome-power-manager applet.

I'm afread that adding the samba schema to the slapd.conf file was not
enough in my case. The documentation (slapd 2.4.11) states that the
slapd daemon will by default use the folder /etc/ldap/slapd.d, even if
there is such a config file (which is the default config file name and
location).

- font: Nimbus Sans L
- font size: 20
then I write a text with some german special chars into this

if I blacklist video module:
- brightness hotkeys and gnome-applet work but in a strange way... more or less
as U wrote before.
- I can't restore brightness if I set it to lower value
- if I set brightness to max value LCD brightness isn't at 100%.
So it's better with video module NOT
I can only give a -1000 points to kubuntu team. Where do they find the
courage to release a distro with such high severe bug? I want to know
who is going to tell my brother he has to use windows because linux
can't find his hidden essid. What a shame.

available via apt, after a fresh install some days later was all ok. I
