Actually I think it's a duplicate of a #662946. I will test Natty in a
few days and report back.

I experienced this issue with all kernels for 10.10 and now with
2.6.38-8-generic on Natty.
Is there anything I could do to help fix this problem?
BTW, I don't believe that bug

I'm also having this Nautilus bug. Doesn't matter what I try to connect to
(FTP/smb/SSH).
I figured out that it won't show up when I connect to remote media through
terminal first.
Hope it helps.

I can confirm this too on Lucid (2.6.32-21-generic) although with
difference that I don't even have inserted (mounted) any card to reader.
The reader is just plugged into my PC.

I'm sad to say that this bug is happening again.
I have Maverick with GNOME Nautilus 2.32.0 and gvfs 1.6.4-0ubuntu1.1
The problem is really in Nautilus since via ftp tool I can cd to
symbolic link with no problem.

Hi Christopher,
I tested the latest 12.10 as live CD. The apport-collect messages are
from it.
Sadly, the problem stays.
I assume to test different kernels I have to install 12.10, I couldn't do it
from LiveCD, am I right?
Also I don't understand from where exactly I get those kernels I ought

Chris,
yes, I can replicate this issue with touchpad and every mouse.
First release I installed on that laptop was 10.10, now I use 11.04 and
tried 12.10 for testing. The problem was present in every named release.
Do I have to install that obsolete release?

OK, I wouldn't want to jinx it but I've been using live version of 10.04.4 for
four hours now, did several suspend-to-ram and mouse was smooth all the time!
I also did not see any kworker processes running, which are present in newer
releases. I noticed them to spike CPU usage and change
As I wrote one year and two days before, I no longer run Ubuntu, so I
can't test anything, sorry.

I just realize that the time for which the mouse is jerky is much shorter if I
plug-in the power cord to the laptop.
Strange, isn't it?

solution. Too bad it's after I converted to Arch Linux.
