Yes this bug was always present in Nautilus and I also think that it
isn't important.
@Daniel: You don't have to install Trusty. Live CD will suffice and you
can use grml-rescueboot which creates an entry in GRUB for booting
directly from ISO image.

so I also checked what will happen when running in virtual machine. In
VirtualBox I couldn't close Nemo with type-ahead entry open.
I don't know why in my real Ubuntu install it works but in

in the sidebar panel and when that one is open I cannot close window.

The icon in the launcher still doesn't launch u-c-c but gnome-control-

The packages from the "Modifier-only input switch" PPA work very well in
case of Unity.
I've tried all the mentioned test cases and everything worked. The Ctrl
+ Shift L set as next source shortcut doesn't collide with Terminal
shortcuts or Sublime Text 3 or LibreOffice. Also if I have Text Entry

I noticed today something that didn't caych my eye before.
The login option that is always default for me is my user session but it
first show up 'Light Display Manager' and then quickly switches. My user
session doesn't have then the Ubuntu logo which is used for switching
between diferrent DE's.
No Dash doesn't appear for me but sometimes I see the Unity shortcuts
overlay. Also I always press first the Super key and then Space.

menus department. People already mentioned Gimp, Inkscape, LibreOffice
and Sublime Text 3 and I would also add Geany to that list. You launch
any of this programs and the unity-panel-service increases it's memory

PPAs added using GUI Software and Updates have an extra space added
I upgraded to 13.10 in time of Final Beta release and I observed a much
higher use of RAM compared to 13.04. This is very bad to the point that
my SWAP which is 4 GB (6 GB of DDR2 RAM) becomes filled sometimes and is
always used in more than 2 GB after couple hours.

those indicators will start as they should.
Sometimes logout and login back makes them appear but for example today
when I loged in there was no indicator-datetime so I logout and log back
in and there is no indicator-session.

I've tried the Final Beta of Ubuntu 13.10 and this still is a problem.
ubiquity will not show it's GUI upon clicking launcher icon or the one
on the desktop and the process is active in System Monitor.
I'm using a loopback boot option for the 13.10 and the "Try Ubuntu
without Installation" option.
I'm testing a Live image of 13.10 and that shortcut still brings log out
screen.
Everything related to Compiz and Unity is updated. Looking at the
changelog of Compiz there should be two files presumably in
/usr/share/compiz directory but I only have one commands.xml.

30 August release. There is still abnormally high fps in glxgears or

Funny thing that there are multiple programs that can be used to connect
the type of internet dial-up I'm using for Windows. There are also
problems for Windows users to get auto-reconnect working the tutorials
for configuring it look more complicated than WvDial configuration

service to function properly.
I've mentioned it before all of the browsers (besides default Firefox)
work when connected through WvDial and NM service running. Thunderbird
works and downloads mails without interference in it

NVIDIA and VirtualBox needed some fixes for building modules with those
kernels.

I can disable upstart job for NM (it's upstart so rcconf won't help
here) and then it doesn't interfere with USC and Ubuntu One online
status (the connection is managed by WvDial).
End users shouldn't be requiered to do all of

Those new kernels broke my Open Sound System (OSSv4 4.2-2006)
installation and VirtualBox. I had to make a chroot environment to build
working modules. I'm writing those because both 3.0.0-18 and 3.0.0-19
are responsible for building bad kernel modules.
