have been removed. Probably what happened was that the alternative was
removed before the new artwork was installed, so the alternative was

In my case, it happened on a fresh boot of the live CD, so definitely no
processes running from a previous login.

I've confirmed that the progress indicator isn't working properly for me
with the current edgy daily (20060920). It switches between the two
progress modes (incrementing and decrementing), i.e. the filled and
unfilled portions of the progress bar are reversed, which I believe
means the percentage

I too have experienced this problem, though there was no unusual delay
at this point, so I think that is unrelated.
After seeing the dialog, I selected Erase entire disk (which is what I
wanted anyway), but ubiquity then hangs forever with a busy cursor.
