I agree :
GDM has changed with the last release of ubuntu (feisty) then gshutdown
couln't speak with GDM but still could close the session.
We decided to stop using the gdm functions and use a system command
instead of the old method...
The bug is normally fixed now. If not, please contact us.
Same problem here. I've tried with and without linux-backports-modules-intrepid.
An example of a what I can't do :
My ISP provides me a box and with it I can watch TV on my laptop. But it works
during few minutes but then the image freeze, a ping to the router go from 1ms
to 8000ms !

The message time-of-day clock stopped happened after several days on
this new ubuntu release.
Removing and replacing the coin cell battery allows me to boot again...
(I've also update the bios : A06 -- A09)
This bug is VERY CRITICAL !
Here on 6400 the keys don't work.
I don't know if it's due to my bios update.

effect is the load screen which is not anymore in the right resolution.
(the solution with radeonhd and « Option MigrationHeuristic greedy
on » wasn't really acceptable because I couln't have acceleration...)
