I can confirm this bug, too. It happens when I try to click on the
menus in Gimp. Gimp will just randomly exit. Looking at the crash

Synaptics driver was doing it, but the updated driver fails to turn it

Using the Network Manager Plasma widget in Kubuntu Jaunty, it is
impossible to automatically connect to 5gHz wireless networks. It will
connect to them just fine when you ask it to, but it will not connect
after you boot
This won't be possible for two reasons. First, the final release is
only weeks away. It is way to late to make an intrusive change like
that. Second, I have heard the developers say that there is no room on
the CD left for the KDE3 libraries that would be necessary to run
KNetworkManager.

This also happens to me using Kubuntu 8.10 x64. I get the same error
