After I applied the update to version 1.96+20090725-1ubuntu1 of grub2,
grub will no longer boot my custom-compiled initramfs-less kernel.
Instead, it just displays the size and location of the kernel in Hex and
hardlocks the PC. Ctrl+Alt+Del does

custom kernel is compiled from 2.6.31-rc5.

may/probably will not boot on your system. It is optimized heavily for
the Dell Vostro 1500 laptop, and for that reason may not have the

laptop, the brightness slider changes to the correct position
immediately.

titles in Kickoff have been displayed using grayscale anti-aliasing
instead of subpixel rendering. The descriptions (smaller, gray text)

On KDE 4.3 in Karmic, the icons in the Quicklaunch applet have no visual
feedback. In previous versions, they lit up when moused over. It also
appears that they should get smaller when clicked, as occurs with
independent icons and the

I just installed Digikam on my Karmic test box, and nothing at all
displays in the main (right) window pane. In Jaunty, all of the images
would be displayed there. All other functions of Digikam (like
slideshows) seem to work, though.
