PowerDevil does not have its own daemon, there is no way to check to see
if PowerDevil is running. Instead, my modified script also checks to
see if kded4 (which I believe is specific to KDE4) is running, and if it

Apparently, Digikam just needs to be rebuilt against the KDE 4.3
libraries, and possibly other Karmic-specific things. I did a test
build with my pbuilder, and it seems to be working fine. I am uploading
it to my PPA now, so maybe you could give it a shot once it finishes
uploading and building.

I just updated my Karmic test box to the latest version of the HAL, and
the new version will not start properly by default. It just sits there
saying Starting hardware abstraction layer hald: At this point, hald

In Karmic, after the upgrade to the 2.6.31-2-generic kernel, based on
2.6.31-rc2, proper symlinks for CD devices are apparently not created.
This causes most CD burning applications, like k3b and Brasero to fail,
saying that there is no CD burner
A new sauerbraten-data package is necessary too.
I also had a small question to ask. On the page for this package in
Launchpad, it says that I uploaded the package. I did not upload the
package. I do not even have upload privileges for the repository. How
did that happen?

The title says it all. In order to allow the latest upstart upgrade,
upstart-compat-sysv and upstart-logd should no longer be depended upon
by ubuntu-minimal

I can still see this bug in any GTK application. Another easy way I
found to reproduce it is to launch any application with the alltray
program.

When using the trayicons of GTK-applications on KDE, the icon background is
corrupted if any popup menu/box is drawn.
