Cannot build aufs (0+20080719-4) with my 2.6.27-rc6 kernel sources
I tested with this package installed: busybox-initramfs 1:1.10.2-1ubuntu5
When I attempt to boot linux-image-2.6.27-2-generic I still drop down into
busybox with the following error:

I have this same problem upgrading Wubi 8.04.1 to today's current Intrepid
package set.
Unfortunately, I don't know if I will be able to boot with an older kernel,
since the dist upgrade process asked me to remove unneeded packages, and I
think that included my old kernels. We'll see.

This appears to be fixed in the current packages. gnome-print-manager
still creates the URL without the trailing slash, but it seems that CUPS
now does the right thing and successfully prints without it.

I have a HP dv1240us. In my case, this command successfully enables the Kill
switch button LED:

If you are interested in getting the LED under the mute button to work,
consider using a solution by Jari Eskelinen - use the ac97_quirk=7 option to

Since I made similar comments years ago, I have pretty much given up trying
to get developers to make any of these changes. It just doesn't seem to be a
priority for them.

Thanks, this helped me. Half a year late, but if you just run ionice on
recollindex, the user interface should still be fast, right?
Before I tried mounting my disk with noatime and that helped a bit.
