Got everything running on the 4.10.0-24 kernel now. Fortunately, the
keyboard issue I had has been resolved, so no more need to recompile the
kernel with that increased HID number. Now all that remains to be fixed
is the multitouch on the the touchpad

A small update: I have upgraded my system to Linux Mint 18.1. However,
there are problems installing new kernels and it has stuck with the old
3.16.0-24 kernel from before the upgrade. From the update manager I
tried installing both the standard 4.4 kernel that should've been

As far as I know, it's impossible to follow them and it looks as though
they have not been doing anything anymore to fix the issue. Kai-Heng
Feng did his best and sent them an e-mail, but I never got a response
from them. He suggested to ask ITE Tech to debug the issue, but I've
given up and have
Wow, that's really good news! When I contacted Medion a few years ago
about this, they told me that they do not in any way support Linux, so I
was on my own. Maybe they're finally starting to see the increasing
Linux userbase, really good development. Best of luck, I hope they
manage to get it to
