Dear Bryce, I've discovered a *very* strange thing. If I launch the
video using the command
gst-launch playbin uri=file:///path/to/file
the video is WELL transformed and the CPU usage is low (using the
automatic gstreamer video output from gstreamer-properties)
don't you think this is strange
re-confirmig due to the patch removal. can we do something? I know that
linux 2.6.25 works great with my bcm43xx rev02. Instead with the fix
introduced by this bug it did not work, maybe the fix was incomplete! Is
it possible?

currently there is no background image for gnome panels, and they look
flat. I think that adding a simple image to make them look 3d would be
an improvement for eye-candy

I also have other problems with wifi now (continuous disconnects). So
before doing tests for this bug I must fix them.
But I have to say that if the process gnome-power-manager is not
running, when I close the lid the connection is not disturbed (expect
