[Bug 1927751] Re: Firefox 89 beta for Impish in Mozilla Team Firefox Beta PPA is built without Wayland support
This was caused by the upload of libdrm 2.4.105-2 to the archive, and is now resolved in version 2.4.105-3 (https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libdrm/2.4.105-3). So the next build in the firefox-next PPA should have Wayland support again. ** Changed in: firefox (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1927751 Title: Firefox 89 beta for Impish in Mozilla Team Firefox Beta PPA is built without Wayland support To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/1927751/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1927071] Re: Fresh install of chromium-browser during installer-like process, in a chroot fails (when preparing machines prior to first boot)
That looks like a slightly different issue: the preinst script is detecting that snapd is usable by checking for the existence of /run/snapd.socket in the container/chroot. In your case it appears that the socket exists, meaning that snapd is installed and running. But it fails to contact the snap store. Does your container have access to internet? [Bug 1921187] Re: Illegal instruction at start − sse3 required on i386
While it is possible to downgrade chromium to a version that will run on a Pentium M processor, it's highly discouraged to run such an old version that has known security problems. It's unfortunate that upstream has decided to drop support for these processors, and unfortunately it's not something that we can easily undo, because they will make increasing use of SSE3 features. [Bug 1923090] Re: autopkgtest fails in hirsute on armhf
I am seeing the redirection when using firefox on android. It might be that Google uses the UA string to serve a mobile version of the consent page, and for some reason it thinks the UA string of the desktop version on armhf is that of a mobile device. Not sure why I'm not able to reproduce this in an armhf container though. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1923090 Title: autopkgtest fails in hirsute on armhf To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/1923090/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1923090] Re: autopkgtest fails in hirsute on armhf
I cannot reproduce the test failure locally, nor when running the test in an armhf LXC container on an arm64 cloud instance. When running locally, I can see the google consent popup overlaid on top of the search results page, but the URL isn't rewritten, and the network tab of devtools doesn't show any query to consent.google.com either. There's definitely something different in the test environment that causes this bug.
Indeed this failure started happening on armhf recently (I'd say about a week ago or so) for all builds of firefox, affecting not just hirsute but also xenial, bionic, focal and groovy. The google search URL that's printed suggests a race condition: selenium doesn't have a built-in method to wait until the current URL changes to a given value, instead it allows watching the URL until it changes from the current value. This combined with a slow test environment might explain why the google redirection (to their consent popup) happens before the real search URL is captured by the test. ** Changed in: firefox (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed ** Changed in: firefox (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Olivier Tilloy (osomon) ** Changed in: firefox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1923090 Title: autopkgtest fails in hirsute on armhf To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/1923090/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

libavcodec57 is built from the ffmpeg source, so there may be licensing issues depending on where you live and use it. But as an end-user this shouldn't be much of a concern (IANAL). According to the official documentation (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SecurityTeam/FAQ#Standard_Support), packages in universe are maintained by the Ubuntu community. If you look at the latest update though (https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ffmpeg/7:3.4.8-0ubuntu0.2), you will see that it was done by the Ubuntu security team. [Bug 1916301] Re: I can't play live videos on YouTube (problem with live transmission) - Ubuntu 18.04.5
On bionic, try installing libavcodec57 (on focal it would be libavcodec58). After doing this and restarting firefox, does the video play? ** Changed in: firefox (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1916301 Title: I can't play live videos on YouTube (problem with live transmission) - Ubuntu 18.04.5 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/1916301/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1921112] Re: Chromium new tabs stop working when the core snap updates
This is indeed a problem in snapd, I believe the snapd team is already aware of it and working on a fix. ** Package changed: chromium-browser (Ubuntu) => snapd ** Changed in: snapd Importance: Undecided => High ** Changed in: snapd Status: New => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1921112 Title: Chromium new tabs stop working when the core snap updates To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/snapd/+bug/1921112/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1616650] Re: snap refresh while command is running may cause issues
Chris, indeed the status for chromium is misleading, since this affects potentially every single snap I'll just remove the chromium task altogether (a year ago or so the profile directory for chromium was moved to a non-versioned place in an attempt to mitigate this problem, hence the status, but it's clearly not good enough). If you haven't done that already, I highly recommend enabling the experimental.refresh-app-awareness configuration flag (https://forum.snapcraft.io/t/wip-refresh-app-awareness/10736). ** No longer affects: chromium-browser (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1616650 Title: snap refresh while command is running may cause issues To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/snapd/+bug/1616650/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
