search for a file, it always shows two entries of a certain file, one in
say /home/paul/work, the other in /media/hd250/backup. It happend to me
several times the last days that I discovered that I was working

Tonight I noticed that my work from today (on two articles) was replaced
by the rsync backup of yesterday. Apparently I have been working today
on the backup files of yesterday, without me knowing that / without
Ubuntu informing me about that, after having opened them via dash.

To reproduce this problem, one needs two files with the same name on the
pc. This is the case when one rsync's certain directories to another
drive.
Use dash to search for a file:
-- click on the Dash home button on the left side of the screen or hit

My root partition is on /dev/sdb.
So changing the above command into
sudo grub-install /dev/sdb
sudo update-grub
sudo reboot
did the trick.
