[Bug 1860452] [NEW] gnome-tweaks problem when titlebar buttons is on the left

2020-01-21 Thread Ox Ra
Public bug reported:

System info:
OS: Ubuntu 19.10 eoan
Kernel: x86_64 Linux 5.3.0-26-generic
Resolution: 3840x1080
GTK Theme: Yaru [GTK2/3]

When I`m tried to change button placement option in "window titlebars ->
titlebar buttons" from left to right, gnome-tweaks become unusable, I cant
change any other options or press any button in window and window is flicker.
gnome-tweaks -d output:

It`s going on with any theme (my theme is Yaru-dark) and corrected only
when i place buttons on the right in command line.

[Bug 1430561] Re: hp-plugin crashes with error: Python gobject/dbus may be not installed

2019-06-06 Thread Ra
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1422004 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1422004

I have this problem and I comment here because the duplicate status is
wrong.

The duplicate says "pkservice.py crashed with AttributeError in
__init__(): 'module' object has no attribute 'MainLoop'".

My problem is another one, the one described here: "Python gobject/dbus
may be not installed"

how can I install the plugin?

[Bug 1809828] Re: Cannot install the npm package: dependency broken

2018-12-27 Thread Ra
I was able to install it following the instructions I found here:
https://askubuntu.com/questions/899756/cant-install-npm-unable-to-
correct-problems-you-have-held-broken-packages

That is, I run

sudo apt install libssl1.0-dev
sudo apt install nodejs-dev
sudo apt install node-gyp
sudo apt install npm

in that order and it installed correctly.
I am now unable to reproduce it too. Even after reverting the instructions I
followed, npm installs correctly. I did

sudo apt remove --purge --assume-yes npm
sudo apt remove --purge --assume-yes node-gyp
sudo apt remove --purge --assume-yes nodejs-dev
sudo apt remove --purge --assume-yes libssl1.0-dev
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get autoclean
sudo apt-get install -f
sudo apt-get --assume-yes autoremove

and then `sudo apt-get install npm` successfully installed it

[Bug 165521] Re: font variants information ignored

2018-04-28 Thread Christoph Ra
I have problem as well. Since it's been suggested that this is a Pango
issue, I can offer two points of support for that:

- It doesn't occur with Scribus, which isn't linked against Pango. Inkscape is
(version 1.36.3 for me).
- It has actually been reported as a bug there as early as 2002:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=95043
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=490609

That's not to say that Inkscape might not be able to work around it, but
if any interested programmer is reading, maybe that library is a better
place to start. Actually, I'd be willing to chip in for a bug bounty.
Does someone know a good place to do that? One of the big projects, or
bring it up on one of the Inkscape dev's Patreon sites?

[Bug 1339607] Re: "Unencrypted private keys are insecure" message is vague and unhelpful

I confirm this bug with an encrypted key. In my case the problem was
that the keyfile was inside a drive that was not mounted at boot. So nm-

message saying the key is not encrypted. This should be fixed

[Bug 1434351] Re: X fonts and widgets disappear after suspend/resume cycle

2016-05-01 Thread Christoph Ra
Oh dear, I didn't think apport-collect would submit more than just an
attachment. For what it's worth, the bug wasn't in effect while doing
that, I had to read the menus. Same situation as above - Intel video,
Xubuntu, only for me the bug appeared only after updating to 16.04.

General system information & a screenshot are attached.

[Bug 812269] [NEW] Publish queue

2011-07-18 Thread ra
Public bug reported:

It would be great to have publishing queues so as to be able to add
files while checking them to a queue ti be uploaded later (since
watching items and uploading can't be done at the same time). Files from
different folders could be added, and the queue could be paused and
resumed depending on the bandwidth needs at a certain time.

doesn't occur in x64 version. If you have a 64bit processor (intel or

Title: Realtek 8191SEvB wireless card drops connections and can't
reconnect without reboot Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed
Bug description: I just purchased a Thinkpad 410s which for the most
part Ubuntu works with fantastically out of the box (suspend and
hibernate both work, 3D works, sound works). But the wifi occasionally
gets disconnected, and when that happens it becomes impossible to
reconnect without a reboot -- network manager will ask for the key as if
it had been rejected, and then if I click ok it will try for awhile and
eventually say I'm disconnected. I primarily have seen this when
connecting to a WPA protected network, but I believe it's also happened
on an unprotected network (where it doesn't ask for a key obviously but
still can never reconnect). I played with toggling networking/wireless
in the network manager context menu but it didn't have any effect on
whether I could reconnect. The laptop also has a physical switch for
turning the wireless on and off, but it made no difference either.

[Bug 85488] Re: Canon Lide25 (plustek backend) scanner does not scan via gui

I want to confirm this issue with a Canon N650U at an IBM R40 notebook.
