[Bug 305892] Re: dpkg: ../../src/packages.c:221: process_queue: Assertion `dependtry = 4' failed

2008-12-10 Thread Rajinder Sandhu, Bangalore
The bug was fixed by unistalling the package hal, hal-info and libmbca0 (this
file was reported by dpkg) and then reinstalling them
The process went like this:
sudo dpkg -r hal hal-info
and if any other file is showing error add that file also, then
sudo aptitude reinstall

This has fixed the problem
Thanks all

[Bug 301193] [NEW] VLC Media Player Equaliser disables on file change automatically

2008-11-22 Thread Rajinder Sandhu, Bangalore
Public bug reported:

Whenever any mp3 file is played in vlc media player and the equaliser is
enabled. Equaliser changes its state to off ( By default it is off) that
means equaliser is not working, again we have to enable it.
Visualisation is always on all the time even if it is disabled it will remain
for that particular song again it will restart on the change of the song file

Looks like both are related with change of song as and when song change
occurs VLC player goes back to its default confiuration I am using
Intrepid ubuntu 8.10

Thanks

install the file fully or not
in synapticRepostories you have to choose the download server go to
netherlands folder first option probably that should be fine
