i am running gnome, not KDE. the file .gtkrc-2.0 does not exist. it's a
clean ubuntu install, not an upgrade from Breezy. i did backup /home,
but restored only the bits and pieces that i needed, certainly no config
files related to gnome or KDE.
but i did something that i
tried to reproduce this bug on my Thinkpad R40 (ATI Radeon 7500), also
running a clean install of dapper, and failed to do so. so, perhaps this
has to do w/ TwinView or some other xorg.conf setting and/or the NVidia

A little confusing that a package like trac which is used from so many
open source projects and it is maintained from the Ubuntu Core
developer team is not updated where several security problems are fixed.
Are there any plans to make a update or any other recommandation.

This issue was resolved by physically swapping the two Xeon CPUs so that
the CPU with the lower stepping (6) ended up in the first socket, while
the CPU with higher stepping (10) ended up in the 2nd socket. It's
apparently an old issue not specific to Ubuntu or even Linux.

It works perfectly on my machine now. At least with the above sequence
with gst-launch. In rhythmbox, it still doesn't work, but I will wait to
investigate this when the final feisty release is out. Also rebuilding

I have the same problem after upgrading to 13.04 from 12.10.
Driver is bcmwl-kernel-source 6.20.155.1+bdcom+0ubuntu6
I run NetworkManager in debug mode and got some output. I cannot upload
it at the moment. But I can copy some of it.

[Saucy] Unity is slow on Intel graphics
I have tested the latest proposed compiz, mesa etc. package and it is
faster than reported in #1206397, but logout dialog is still incredible
slow and the side bar sluggishness is still present. And the HUD and
lenses is still so slow that it can not be used.
