I just downloaded and installed in a VirtualBox Ubuntu-Gnome 14.04 beta2 32bit. Out of the box, I changed the Switch to next sorce to Alt+Shift L and alternative character key to Right Alt and it works ok. I DID NOT test the plain Ubuntu-Unity installation. Color me (momentarily) happy. --
