I don't think this is related to DSL. I'm on a LAN and specify a DNS
server and search domain, but they are not honored. Disabling dnsmasq
resolves the problem.

I have set up deja-dup (via the Backup system settings module) to ignore
two folders which are unreadble by me (/opt/lost+found and
/opt/.Trash-0). At the end of each weekly back up I get a warning
specifying that these two directories could not be backed up. I

I tried with another usb stick and it worked. I tried the original usb
stick again and got the error again, other than that problem, the usb
stick works fine, i.e., storing and retrieving files.

I have attempted two newer / upstream kernels from kernel-ppa/mainline
with the same effect.
Kernel version: 3.7.9 and 3.8.0_rc7
Both kernels fail loading megasas driver, with messages:

We now have 12 hours with our entire KVM cluster running on 3.8.0-30
with no outage. Including our high Network I/O guests now.
I will post success/failure once more this week, for final load
verification.
