correctly but installs the wrong driver, or, the CUPS driver that Ubuntu
installs has a bug. (Making it an Ubuntu/CUPS issue)

Using the live CD with updates, Ubuntu does not have a Brother 7440
driver to use. When adding a printer manually Ubuntu recommends the
nearest match - Brother 7450, however the print driver does not work.

Ok, here is a stranger one. I upgraded from 10.10 to 11.4 via online
update. Machine is HP 6910p 4 gig ram and 32bit OS version. Intel
graphics. In earlier versions, playback withing Firefox was fine. When
enlarging to full screen, playback was choppy, or froze, but was
corrected by shrinking
I've tried this with the latest release of Natty (11.04). The crash no

Ubuntu Server 6.06.2 was the last server build I could install on that
Sun Blade 100 (sparc64). All attempts at getting the IDE subsystem to
disable DMA with kernels 2.6.24 and newer failed. As I mentioned above,
I tried an exhaustive list of [kernel/IDE] options to disable DMA but
was never able
Looking at some google- results I find:-
To install Ubuntu 9.04 on the HP550 go to bios and disable SATA Native Mode -
do normal Jaunty install - then go back to bios
and re-enable the SATA Native Mode.
(I have no way to check this but perhaps it is worth a try/soloution for
your problem.)

After searching other bug reports I'm beginning to believe this is a
problem could be with the new kernel as keytouch worked just fine in
hardy . https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/281993 shows there seems to be a
problem with multimedia keyboards.

same result on my home pc, so tonight I may give the Karmic version a try
and see how it flys. I don't know if this will be of any help or not.

Forgot to add a screenshot. This is what the default window looks like
on a 1024x600 netbook. I believe it's the same on a 1024x768 monitor as
well.
