On jaunty beta, with 2.6.28-11-generic, on running insmod smartcam.ko,
segfaults due to a BUG_ON in v4l2-dev.c (line 229) (in drivers/media/video
directory in the kernel). This BUG_ON specifically mentions that it expects a
release callback from the smartcam video device.

My friend's laptop came with Windows8 pre-installed on which I installed
Ubuntu 12.04 for dual-booting. Next I booted with Ubuntu 13.04 USB drive
and chose 'Erase Ubuntu 12.04 and install 13.04' option. The 'disks'
program shows that my entire hard disk as 'ext4' which means
It is still unresolved.. taking hours of time but giving no results...

Dear Mr Shuttleworth,
I'm happy to see that this bug is fixed but you could have attached the
correct patch (read as 'valid proof'). Humbly, the figure above doesn't
reflect the global perspective of adoption of FOSS in desktop market.
Android/Chrome OS on desktops .. here in India? No way.

A crash report was shown which listed too many third party libraries
that it is out of visible screen boundaries.
There was no way of choosing between 'Yes' and 'No'. Just had to dismiss
the dialog box by pressing 'Close' button which obviously would have
cancelled sending

On an existing user account, after a while, I set 'Login without a
password' via 'User Management' in gnome-control-center.
Now I disabled 'Login without a password', and configured a password for
the user. On subsequent reboots, I am still able to login
