Okay, this bug should be closed. It's not even relevant anymore.
But the new control center is still missing the option to set the acceleration
properly. (There is none.)
$ xset m 0 0
will fix this.
I have found a way to make this auto-start each boot:
1) Open up a terminal and type:

Sorry for the many logs, I ran apport as requested.
(For some weird reason I didn't have python-apport/launchpad installed. I used
the proper 13.04 amd64 image, that I even double checked).
Anyway, installing the kernel, and let's see if something happens. :)

Installed the 3.10rc kernel from the URL, but nothing changed.
I do run the new kernel, uname confirms that:

It's the same issue. Timeout.
I use an openwrt (latest stable) on my router.
So I could even use that to find out the exact problem/find a fix.
What command should I run or which log should I attach?
(It's a TP-Link 1043ND)

I have created a wifi hotspot with my Android phone, with no password and WPA

It's the same message, nothing changes. (Thought the authentication got
something to do with the password... but nope.)

Public bug reported:
I tried to install Firefox by Konsole.
sudo apt-get install firefox
Then I got this error:
trying to overwrite '/usr/share/applications/firefox.desktop', which is also in
package kubuntu-firefox-installer 13.04ubuntu2
Seemingly this error have been reported already back 2
Possible fix if you run into the problem is:
sudo dpkg --force-all -P kubuntu-firefox-installer

The fixed package should be pushed into Quantal as well.

@Christopher: Sorry I didn't update my bug, only posted on AskUbuntu.
End of my story? Larry never found the time to investigate the issue. I
returned the item as it dropped connection sometimes on Windows as well.
They just refunded it and that's it. So yeah. This is a terrible chip,
no one
The bug exists with 3.11rc1 too. I talked with the wifi guys meanwhlie.
Larry Finger (ralink maintainer) bought a device, but no news ever since.

Nope. Does not work. I'll attach my new lsusb and dmesg.
I'm running the new proposed kernel. Larry sent me this fix weeks ago, and it
only inits the device.
Like the LED shows up and you can see it in NetworkManager.
But you still cannot connect, as the authentication will time out.
Thanks for
Attaching dmesg. Same auth error can be seen, except I don't have to
issue the new ID command by hand.
