[Bug 1437514] [NEW] Feature Request Déjà Dup Exit Prompt

2015-03-27 Thread Simon Quigley
Public bug reported:

THIS IS A FEATURE REQUEST FOR Déjà Dup
PLEASE FILE UNDER WISHLIST

I have raged at this and this is probably a simple request, but when
accidentally exiting said backup program after it was running for TWO
HOURS, I wish it had prompted me so I could deny. Please add this
feature.

Secondly, I constantly want to see which file it is performing action
to, so can you make a feature that will automatically make it scroll
down if you check a checkbox?

 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 1532797] [NEW] Icons missing on LXQt

2016-01-11 Thread Simon Quigley
Public bug reported:

I am running lubuntu-artwork version 0.59.

I am currently running LXQt in Xenial.

As you can see in this screenshot[1], a lot of the really important
icons are missing in PCManFM. This is not only there, but if you look at
the taskbar, there is no volume button, although it is present. In
addition, take a look at the second screenshot[2]. The icon is also not
showing up in the "Properties" of a specific folder.

In a video call with wxl recently, he expressed that he has the same
problem with LXQt on his Raspberry Pi 2.

As far as I know, this applies to all architectures. I am currently
running amd64.

[Bug 1538173] [NEW] [MIR] fonttools

2016-01-26 Thread Simon Quigley
Public bug reported:

This is a dependency of graphite2, which is in main.

 1. This package is in Universe.
 2. graphite2 depends this package.
 3. http://cve.mitre.org/cve/cve.html shows no vulnerabilities.
 4. There are no bug reports in the Ubuntu and Debian trackers. It is a bit
above my head to check for debconf configuration settings, but I can imagine
that there are no issues.
 5. n/a
 6. All dependencies are in Main already.
 7. This is also a bit above my head, so someone should check this, but I think
it should be fine as there doesn't seem to be any upstream problems.
 8. There are no bug reports, and I can imagine it does not require much
maintenance, due to the lack of bug reports.
 9. The package description explains this well.

[Bug 1572429] Re: Lubuntu alternate iso files are oversized for CD disks

2016-07-12 Thread Simon Quigley
It looks like we are down to the following sizes in the daily image:

amd64 - 696 MB
i386 - 694 MB
powerpc - 719 MB

So as of right now, this bug doesn't affect amd64 and i386, but still
affects powerpc in the daily image. This isn't that urgent because we
don't release another powerpc image until 18.04.

However, the Xenial daily image has the following sizes:

amd64 - 740 MB
i386 - 737 MB
powerpc - 788 MB

This should be cut down as soon as possible.

And as an additional factor, here are the Trusty sizes:
amd64+mac - 727 MB
amd64 - 661 MB
i386 - 643 MB
powerpc - 665 MB

The only oversized image is the mac image.

[Bug 1516454] Re: gnumeric menu ->help ->about gnumeric -> license button, does not work.

2016-07-25 Thread Simon Quigley
This is confirmed in today's Yakkety and Xenial images. (20160725)

** Description changed:

- To reproduce launch gnumeric on 16.04 the current development release
- and then in the menu help select about gnumeric. A fancy dialog with a
- link to the gnumeric website appears and has a fancy animation of the
- developer names. However at the bottom there is a button that says
- liscense that I click on it and nothing happens.
+ To reproduce:
+ 1. Launch Gnumeric.
+ 2. Go to the Help menu and select About
+ 3. Select the License button on the bottom of dialog box that pops up

- This is in gnumeric 1.12.24 on lubuntu 16.04
+ Expected:
+ This shows Gnumeric's license information.

- I expected the liscense button to display the license of gnumeric.
- Instead it seemed to have no visable effect to the user. I circled the
- blank state in a screenshot in this about dialog and have attached a
- screenshot where I circled the borken button in this about dialog.
+ Actual result:
+ The button is pressed down, but it does nothing.

[Bug 1574544] Re: Light-locker-settings crash on startup

2016-07-19 Thread Simon Quigley
** Description changed:

+ [Impact]
+
+ Getting this fix in Xenial would allow for the user to use light-locker-
+ settings again, without this fix, light-locker-settings is unusable.
+
+ [Test Case]
+
+ Open a terminal and type the following:
+
+ $ light-locker-settings
+
+ If the bug is fixed, light-locker-settings should launch normally.
+
+ [Regression Potential]
+
+ The regression potential is low because it's a trivial fix that upstream
+ has already adopted.
+
+ [Original bug description]
+
I installed Xubuntu 16.04 as a new installation, and light-locker-
settings cannot be opened. Starting from command line I get a following
  backtrace:

/usr/share/light-locker-settings/light-locker-settings/light-locker-settings.py:29:
