I see. It's far from a complete test, but FWIW I can tell that tomcat6
runs using openjdk-6-jre-headless that doesn't have /usr/share/java
/gnome-java-bridge.jar or the JNI package installed. Given the nature of
what the bridge does, it seems normal that the jre-headless should work
without it. Tho

That looks good to me...
Could you start the samba daemons (sudo service samba start) then after a few
seconds check if they are really running (sudo service samba status). If they
aren't, could you post the relevant contents from the /var/log/samba directory.

Fixed in 3.2.9 and 3.3.2, so this should be fixed in Jaunty release.

Could you precise the version of nagios3-common you're using, and define
"fails" (ideally, attach a minimal script that would allow to reproduce the
issue) ?
I'm able to run submit_check_result from another script without issues and it
doesn't seem to include any bashisms...

I tried to reproduce with the exact same instructions with likewise-open on a
Jaunty desktop, without success.
Three incorrect, then one correct, I can still log in with cached creds, as
expected.
Could you please indicate what version of Ubuntu you're running, and the
version of the likewise-o
OK, would someone have evidence of that libsmb crash/segfault ? I could
use a stack trace, crash dump or logged segfault... I don't have XP
shared network printers to reproduce.

This was only partially implemented in etckeeper upstream... The version
I just merged in Karmic does "etckeeper init" but not "etckeeper
commit". I'll followup with Joey.

I reproduce the exact same log lines when I am connected to the DC, once
I set up the lockout policy.
However when I'm disconnected, I get the same logs for the first 3 attempts but
the 4th one (with the right password) succeeds with:

I can't see a bug in nagios3, so this is probably linked to the way
snmptt calls that external command... Please reopen if, after analyiss
on the snmptt side, you can point to a bug in nagios3. Thanks for your
