I do have it enabled - probably had a BT, but a dialog with umpteen
questions popped up and one of the options probably ate it. I was forced to
answer them, couldn't see a 'just submit this crash, it's not a hardware
problem' option.

I'm getting this bug on 4.12.0-0ubuntu1.1. The 2D launcher is not auto-
hiding and is obstructing some important elements. I do have a
fullscreen app on one of the workspaces, maybe that is confusing it.
Either way, it's pretty annoying and hindersome.

I think the WinSwitch project ran into a similar issue:
http://winswitch.org/trac/ticket/161
Perhaps the problem is appindicators themselves failing?

Ops, the email sent early. So nothing is actually broken in Shutter and
there is no update to correct this - Shutter is a gtk app and uses the
functionality of gnome-web-photo instead of reimplementing it.

Unfortunately, it didn't help me. My laptop still continues to be an
anti-laptop whenever the cord is accidentally pulled out for even a second.

Public bug reported:
This is an issue that has started affecting me recently. When windows
are maximized, as some point since the reboot Unity will break and make
the window controls be unclickable if the window is maximized.
Unmaximizing the window allows me to click on them.
Restarting unity-2d
Same thing is happening with 3D, but I see a little element
"overlapping" the area.
